A/n: Well, I'm on a roll as far as angsty stuff goes. And as far as Five Years Gone goes too, I suppose. I just jumped at the chance when I saw this prompt. There's more notes at the end of the story too. Footnotes, you could call 'em. :)

It’s been years since the first time Nathan forced himself on Peter. He was unwilling that first time, but he took it like a man, even though he was just a teenage boy. He remembers Nathan telling him so, too, patting him on the back and ruffling his hair around as he said, “You did good, Peter. Now you’re a man.” But he’d still been just a teenager for a couple more years.

Nathan had left him alone then, and he had the creeping suspicion that Nathan had lied to him, that he hadn’t done just as Nathan had told him well enough and that he was mad at him. It’d been a painful experience, but as the days passed he found himself longing to experience it again, to be that close and that intimate with his normally cold and distant brother.

So on the day he turned eighteen and Nathan entered his room, his body had hummed with anticipation. Just like it did now.

They’d been separated after Peter had exploded, exchanging on the briefest of letters occasionally. Peter’d taken a sabbatical from everyone he knew, not wanting to hurt anyone else. Nathan had told him he understood, when in fact it just made him angry. How dare his brother be selfish after all the damage he’d created, created so that Nathan would have to clean it up.

It was that thought that had prompted him to come up with an idea for some sort of a tracking system for people with abilities. Peter was his brother, a connection that could never be broken, but Peter was dangerous. Nathan was sure that Peter probably wasn’t the only individual with abilities who could destroy .07% of the population, if not more. It was a sight he never wanted to see.

Peter had hated the idea, hated him for the idea for awhile, as Nathan knew he would. Their letters stopped for awhile, and they ceased to exist in each others lives for several years.

Until this night, when Nathan had literally hunted Peter down. The moment Peter realized who was knocking at his door, he’d had the urge to wrap his hand around Nathan’s neck and strangle him. Peter was learning that violence was a natural side effect to anger. Anger at himself for not being able to control his powers, anger at the cosmos for cursing him with power, anger at Nathan for pretty much every bad thing left in the world not explained by the first two.

“What do you want?” He growled, staring Nathan down like a bull in a death match. Nathan noted just how much his brother had changed, the harsh muscular build only adding to the intimidating appearance that the scar had originally created.

“You know what I want,” Nathan had growled in return, cutting right to the point. It was then Peter’s body had started humming; one particular part in particular.

Everything they’d argued about in the years past was thrown out the window, at least for that brief time, when they came together with jarring force, barely giving each other the chance to get out of their clothes before they were grabbing at each other, lips smashing against each other painful and needing.

Nathan relished Peter’s new form; he was no longer the breakable fragile Peter he’d gotten so used to fucking before the explosion. They fought for control, Peter no longer the submissive teenager of days old, but a man with more experience than Nathan could ever believe or even want to know. Eventually, Peter did relinquish control, but it wasn’t because he was tired of fighting. All he ever did was fight; instead it was because he wanted some reminder of a time when he wasn’t hard, when he could feel love for his brother and not simply contempt.

As he was bent over on the bed with Nathan behind him, filling him up with every thrust just as strong if not stronger than the last, he could almost remember what it was like before he’d exploded.

It was the last time Peter would see Nathan, the real Nathan, alive.

The next time Peter met up with Nathan, in a long white hallway, it would be to kill him. It was a thought that momentarily bothered him, thinking of that last time they’d had together, but the moment Nathan had forced himself on Peter then, he was reminded of that first time and how much he truly hadn’t wanted Nathan to fuck him, to create a pattern, a need that he hadn’t been able to escape his entire life. So when this Nathan had tousled his hair, he’d almost not felt guilty about coming to kill him to save the world.

Until this Nathan had said, “Thanks for the ride, Pete. I always wondered what that felt like.”

Then Peter, as he was sprawled out on the floor of that long white hallway, had given him a confused look and watched as his brother, the brother he’d spent his entire life loathing, hating, and loving, morph into the last man on earth he’d want to share anything with.

It was the last time anyone would see Peter alive, but then again, after the explosion, he’d never really existed at all.

1-You know that moment when Sylar!Nathan reaches through the door and throws Peter across the floor and we see his hair come out of place as he’s there on the floor? Freeze-frame that and then insert Sylar!Nathan having a good time.

2-I realize the end makes it seem like Peter’s an invisible man who doesn’t really exist, but that’s not how I meant it. I meant it more as a “he’s not the man he used to be” type thing. But I wasn’t sure how to explain that.

So the last time Nathan forced himself on Peter, Nathan was Sylar. Did I get it right?
Anyway, nice *_* you described a true dark!Peter.

Yeah. Sorry if that was confusing. This story's not what I thought it was gonna turn out as, I guess.

Thanks for reading!
