in which i review stuff badly. [in time & soa]
Ahhhhhhh every day I wake up just a little bit more apathetic and disgusted about humanity. Between Occupy Wall Street and the Internet Censorship thing and No Basketball Anymore, this country is a fucking mess and there's really no way out.Which leads me to:
Brett and I went to see In Time last night. We were the only people in the theater so I legit spent a good three minutes saying BOMERRRRRRRRRRRR YOU'RE SO PRETTY out loud. And he was definitely a big reason why I paid money to see it, but the plot was also of great interest to me. I've heard some pretty negative things about it, but beyond some technical issues with the plot, I really quite enjoyed it. It reminds me a lot of a fusion of Equilibrium and The Hunger Games? Equilibrium due to the color pallet and left-fieldedness of the plot concept, and The Hunger Games in that 'society breaking down and people fighting back' kind of immediacy. Bomer's character was the most interesting to me in the movie, pretty bummed we don't get more of his backstory. And I'm forever amazed that Justin Timberlake can actually carry a movie and act decently. I'd probably be a JT stan if I liked his music, ngl. (definitely said HE'S SO ATTRACTIVE several times out loud as well.) My only real problem with the movie was the ending, it was too...eh, upbeat, cliche, 'let's do a sequel'-esque for the rest of the movie.
Brett and I also watched Sons of Anarchy last night.
KOZIK THO ;__;
Kurt had tweeted someone was gonna die and I finally expected Juice to be the one, alas nope. THEY KILLED KENNYY.
Poor Tiggy, they'd just made up and now he's lost his boyfraaand and he sees Gemma all beat up and and. I REALLY ship Gemma/Tig you guys. I so want to know if like, they've ever one night stand-ed orrr if it's really just protective friendship. TIG IS SUCH AN ENIGMA I LOVE HIM SO MU-MU-MUCH the part with the sex doll "i'm terrified but aroused" TIG HATES DOLLS BUT LOVES SEXXX TIGGYYY.
I honestly don't know how they'll redeem Clay. I don't want them to. Clay needs to die. I don't want Opie to be the one to kill him though, that seems unfair to put on his shoulders. I mean, justified, I suppose, but still. Ope's killed enough.
This show's become so hard to watch. Like, realistically the subject matter's always been brutal, but lately, with Clay beating the shit out of Gemma and poor Tara and even Juice's semi-ridiculous storyline. UGH. I hate it and I love it and I watch with my hands over my face half the time. Jax and Tara though THEY WERE MY HAPPY PLACE WHY DID YOU RUIN IT KURTT. Her hand better heal or something, idk but Jax needs to kill Clay for this. Meep.
Now I shall watch more Band of Brothers [aka Nix and Winters love each other so muuuuch], since I have the house to myself.
