Augh if you're looking for a Supernatural/Avengers crossover, you should maybe read this one. And yes, I too find it amusing that the first Avengers fic I choose to rec in my journal is Clint/Coulson, a pairing that I don't care for all that much.

Basically, Clint makes a crossroads deal to get Coulson back; Clint goes to hell; Coulson moves heaven and earth to get him back. Or, how Sam and Dean would be super horrified that there are two more people in the world just as fucked up as they. It's horrific and angsty and ughh Coulson is perfect and Crowley is Crowley and Thor has some badass niece and aughhh I just love fic concerning hell I should probably see a shrink about that or something.

Summary: On a cold, windy night Clint Barton goes to a crossroad to wipe some red from his ledger.

"How're we going to find him?" he said, half hoping Natasha actually had an idea and half just to hear a voice that wasn't moaning in agony. "We need a plan. We're wasting too much time, this place is endless. Maybe we should climb up somewhere to get a better look."

For a second Coulson thought she hadn't heard him, then she stopped short, swearing softly under her breath in Russian as she sprinted to the right. Coulson rushed after her and found her looking down into a crevasse they'd passed earlier. "No," she said, and when he stepped next to her he could feel how hard she was shaking. "We should climb down."

The sense of that hit Coulson like a truck. Of course they would have to go down. Clint loved being up above everyone else; he lived for the high ground, for the ability to take in a situation in one sweeping glance.

Of course Clint Barton's hell would include not being able to see the sky.

I should really remember to rec more things more often. Hrm. I did set up a shiny new pinboard account for my shiny new fandom. All Avengers fic is there. Other stuff still goes to delicious, for now.

Sort of off-topic, but how are you liking pinboard? I really want something that isn't delicious (because UGHHHHH. I'M STILL SO UPSET THAT EVERYTHING IS SO FUCKED UP) but spending money... :/

I'm really enjoying it. It's basically like classic delicious only a little better? So far the only downfall it seems to have is the $10 registration fee or whatever and the three tag search limit, but I tag pretty specifically so that's not really a problem yet. Starting my tagging system over is a bit depressing too. But yes, I just could not take delicious all the time anymore, the layout is god-awful, I hate that it doesn't give me tags in most-used order, I hate the text for the descriptions, I still don't understand bundles, and really the deciding factor was that most of my tags are geared for Supernatural and I'm reading a lot of other stuff now. So, Supernatural still goes to delicious. Avengers goes to pinboard. Everything else...goes somewhere.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT AT ALL. Or well, I'm starting to, I guess, if you follow the line of thought that Coulson is Clint's handler or whatnot. And especially if Coulson is Clint AND Natasha's handler, then I guess I get it. But it's just so counter from comics Clint that it's weird and also CLINT/NATASHA AUGH.

Haha okay, thanks. I've been meaning to redo my tags on delicious for AGES now (and it's actually on my summer to-do list this year :3) but the thought of looking at that godawful layout for an extended period of time sort of makes me want to cry.

Yeah like, I can see where people get the ship from, but at the same time I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND IT. They had a conversation together in Thor and they didn't even interact in Avengers. ALSO WHY WOULD I HAVE CLINT/COULSON WHEN I COULD HAVE ALL THE CLINT/NATASHA ANGST IN THE WOOOOOORLD.

I'll have to admit I'm slowly being won over. Tasha/Clint 5ever butttttt. There's lots of good Coulson in the world, too. Much like Steve/Tony, which I very much did not ship three weeks ago. It's pretty easy to multiship in Avengers verse though. :|||
