live together or die alone
Dear Lost: See you in another life, brotha.
I missed like...huge portions because work was a fucking disaster that made me wanna kill myself. So I'm sure I missed...something. Not that it probably would help me understand it anymore. But basically.
This scene was awesome:
and this scene was awesome:

I also enjoyed seeing Boone briefly and also Shannon and Sayid's reunion.
The rest of it was inconsequential.
I'm still pretty confused. So the flash-sideways verse was really a purgatory type place they built to wait for everyone to meet together in the church at the right time? Is that what anyone else got? So everyone in the church is dead now. But when now is is up for grabs?
The ending was really sad to me, with Vincent just laying down to die beside Jack. I was pissed that he wasn't in the church with everyone. Definitely like the symetry of Jack closing his eyes in the exact spot he opened them in the beginning of the pilot.
I don't like that the MIB never got a name. And the episode needed more Titus and Marksha.
I will miss seeing Darlton tweet about this show. Probably gonna be unfollowing them now, 'cuz IDC about whatever project they're doing next. Will miss
ontd_lost too, especially since I wish I'd discovered it earlier. Also I'll miss Sawyer's face on my tv screen every week. Josh Holloway, please find something better to do than whatever that shitty cable movie was I saw you in a while back. (speaking of shitty movies, I watched part of Karla today. Oh my.)
IDK, will have more thoughts after watching it with Brett tomorrow. Or well, I'll have HIS thoughts, lol.

The final scene was just so beautiful though, I still feel kind of haunted by it, like kind of how I feel when I dream. I dunno, I feel very strange.
GAH I wish we'd found out MIB's name, that was kind of a let-down.
I feel like I need to re-watch to get more... just more

Apparently the writers were going to name him Samuel? Did you see that article today?

Yeah I figured that the deaths could have happened whenever and they were just meeting in their 'youthful' appearances because that's how everybody would remember each other, and as you say, time is relative and doesn't matter.

And what I gathered from it is that, they were drawn to the island for the reasons Jacob said, and because of that they were all linked. Not just because they were on the island together but because they had some sort of bond. That's why they were all together again the the church.
I think that everything that happened in the alternate world didn't really happen, I think all of that was purgatory. But because of this great bond they had, they couldn't go to heaven with out each other. So when they died on the island, they went to this alternate world to wait for each other. Once they were all together they could remember being on the island and then they could to heaven together.
That's just what I got from it anyway.

I think the fact that none of the alt world actually happened is the most confusing part. I mean, I get it, it's just...strange. But that's lost, I suppose.

Yeah....I'm still kinda confused myself, I'm sure there's a lot of things they haven't really answered

At least it went out like it started, confusing as ever. :P
