BUT I DON'T LIKE IT WHEN SAM CRIES. LOL. Oh man. What kind of crazy am I that I love watching Dean cry but don't like watching Sam cry. I think it's because Jensen cries so pretty and Jared...doesn't. In a way I think Jared cries more realistically? IDK. Crying is not supposed to look pretty.





See what I did there, slipping Dean in? :P No but really the impact of that scene comes from the music, oh Silent Lucidity and watching Dean watch Sam fall apart. And Jared's woobie!face of course. And then in retrospect knowing he was thinking about his doggies dying. :/

Otherwise, all of When the Levee Breaks. Does that count? Does he even actually cry in that episode? Or is it just despair. Either way, umph, that episode.

I love it that Jared doesn't cry prettily. He cries like a man, and it breaks my heart. (I love Jensen and his single perfect tear, don't get be wrong. It's just different.) Plus, that scene was just...UGH.

I've heard a couple times that he was thinking of his dogs dying when shooting that scene, but I haven't been able to find the interview or anything where he says that. Do you know where/when it was?

I actually thought you might be choosing the 2nd most obvious choice - No Rest for the Wicked. Although in that one Sam/Jared is such a mess and it's hard to look away from the bloody mess of Dean.
I agree very very very much with what you said about what impacts that scene in Heart. Knowing that their motivation (b/c I'm pretty sure I've heard or read Jensen saying that he did his coverage after, and asked Jared what he was thinking about.), the music, and Dean's part in it all converge to make it a very sad scene. Oh, that and that Sam is about to go shoot a young woman who has only recently found out she has an incurable monster-disease (one could call it).

Nah see, I didn't even cry when Dean died then. Sam is a total mess in that, yeah and it's tragic, but idk. Dean dying doesn't affect me as much.

Not to mention Madison is the first girl he slept with since Jess, according to what we know. So I mean, SAM'S COCK OF DOOOOOOOM. Haha.

In "No Rest of the Wicked", I actually tend to tear up during the Bon Jovi song rather than during Sam's waterworks at the end. Let's face it, Sam cries enough for all of us in that moment.

YES THE SAME. It's their LAST BROTHERLY MOMENT. Made me cry too. Oh and I got a little teary in the moment before Dean dies, before the hounds get in, when they're looking at the clock. That was sad.

Sam cries like a person actually cries so it actually does what crying is supposed to do and makes you uncomfortable and sad. Not saying that Jensen doesn't cry pretty he just doesn't cry as real.
