Fic: A Window, Darkly
Title: A Window, Darkly
Author:
darkmerrick
Word Count: 209
Rating: PG-13 for violence
Characters/Pairing: Peter/Nathan
Disclaimers: I don't own them
Summary: Nathan tries over and over again to teach a lesson Peter will never learn.
A/n: just a dark drabble...
His hands grip his throat tightly, and he knows he’s leaving bruises. He always does, and they always fade. Nathan doesn’t even bother being careful with Peter anymore; Peter’s not a toy that can be broken.
Peter’s a man who needs to be taught a lesson.
Nathan grips harder as Peter’s eyes roll into his head. This is the part Nathan hates, when he loses sight of Peter’s chocolate eyes, the windows to his soul. If he still has a soul, if Nathan hasn’t choked it out of him. Peter’s eyes keep Nathan grounded, and when they’re gone, he has the urge to flee, to leave this life they’ve chosen and find a safer, more comfortable one where he doesn’t kill his brother on a daily basis.
He could never leave Peter. He loves him too much.
Peter’s slack against Nathan’s strong hand. Nathan lets him fall to the ground. He waits. An eternity later, Peter gasps loudly, and his eyes return, refocusing on Nathan. Maybe he’s learned his lesson this time, Nathan thinks. Maybe this will be the last time. But the darkening look in Peters’ eyes tells him otherwise, as does the tone in his voice. “It’ll never be the last time. I enjoy it too much.”
