I CALL SHENANIGANS. I DO. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE KILLER KICK-ASS HEROES WRITING OF THE FIRST SEASON?
Seriously. I've never capslocked so hard in my life.
Okay, so basically, I'm just copy/pasting the IM conversation I was having with Brett throughout the show, and then adding some coherent commentary. OK?
From the top:
+How did Sylar get across the country so fast? When volume 2 ended and volume 3 started last season, he'd just fought Elle in Issac's loft in New York. Now suddenly, he's showing up at Claire's doorstep. I'd say time has passed, except she's packing to go to Odessa because she JUST saw Nathan get shot. Which seemingly happened simultaneously with the showdown with Sylar and Elle.
+Sylar getting Claire's power 15 minutes into the show? Booring. And now she can't feel? I'm flashing to "I touch the fire, and it freezes me, I look into it and it's black now." Just one of many references to other crap this show has this evening.
+"Don't open the safe, Hiro." Well, of course he's gonna open it now that you've said that.
+The light that protects the dark? WTF, did I start watching The Neverending Story? Where's Atreyu?
+Save Ourselves, Save the World? Lame reuse of a tagline, much?
+Linderman is so totally GOD. LOL.
+The whole future Peter/not Peter thing is confusing me. Especially when Angela's talking about "give me back my son.
+HRG SO BAD ASS HE BE IN LEVEL 5 YO!
+Aw, Claire can't feel anything anymore. No wonder she wants to kill Peter now. The angst she must be experiencing...(lol, lame paire joke)
+Mohinder is now the 6 million dollar man. No, wait, He's Spiderman. And cut to the end of the episode, he's Jeff Goldblum in The Fly. Only, less cool.
+That whole bit where future!Peter saves Claire from the train is eerily similar to a fanfic I wrote last year. Minus the train and the saving...
+Aw, Bob's dead. I kinda liked the bastard.
+Peter's in Francis Capra's body, from Veronica Mars! Kristen and Francis together again!!
+They're just gonna let Elle loose? I love her, but she's not exactly fit for normal society.
+Lol at Matt talking to the Turtle. And Sprint product placement.
+There's a man. In Level 5. Who's German. And can manipulate metal? Uhm...hmm...where have I heard that before? Is he a Jew too?
+So, I'm left with the urge to read some fanfic between Nathan and Dean and them talking about their God-ly missions. And their advisors. Can you imagine Castiel and Linderman meeting up? (not saying Linderman has anything to do with Nathan's God mission)
+Preview of Nekkid boys and MOAR BADDASS CLAIRE! ...that's about all I care about in this show anymore...
Overall verdict: Interesting ideas, but...not impressed, really.
I can't wait for some new baddass Claire and evil(ish)Peter icons. I'm in the middle of an icon overhall. I considered buying the full 100, but I think I can manage with my 35. I think...
Got most of my Halloween costume today. I know, starting early. For those of you who didn't listen to the voice post below, congratulations. No, it just noted that I decided not to be Mara Jade Skywalker for Halloween this year. Basically, that would've had me wearing the same thing I wore last year as Jean Grey and just adding a lightsaber.
Instead, in an homage to my Anthropology roots, I'm going with folklore. I haven't done a semi-scary costume in awhile. And I can still wear my pretty red wig, the driving force behind both Jean and Mara.
This year, for Halloween, I'm going to be La Llorona. And now everyone's like WTF. The Weeping Woman. Woman in White. Wikipedia her. If you're a Supernatural fan, she's familiar. She's what Constance Welch was in the Pilot episode of the show, which is not the reason why I'm going as her, but it's certainly an added bonus.
So basically, all I did was buy a white dress and some white face makeup, and I'll roll around in the dirt a bit and destroy the dress. And presto costume! How exciting. Now I'm off to help other ppl figure out their costumes. I'm good like that. LOL.
But seriously. Fandom disappointment, here. Now I'm off to watch Sarah Connor.

*nods* I sensed Magnento. Kring is running out of ideas so he had to use one villain and somehow make a reference to X-Men. As much as I love Heroes, X-Men will always be better when it comes to mutants/powers.

But I'm glad to hear you haven't completely lost hope in the show. I think it started off a bit better than season 2 but who know what Kring will do since he so... ugh, I can't find the word.
Oh that sounds like a cool costume lol you mentioned Supernatural/Constance and I instantly remembered the pilot. But I like that costume idea!
