i'm going home, and running free...
So, 3 things.
1-Welcome all my new friends, holy crap. Actually, it's only like...6 people. But I don't want to miss anyone so I'm not gonna list them all. But HIII!!! Ask me anything if you want!
2-There's snow on the ground. What the hell, nature? WTH. Snow's not supposed to happen until after Thanksgiving. It's not. Just like Christmas decorations aren't supposed to be up, either. :s
3-Speaking of Thanksgiving, I'm officially DONE for break! I'm heading home...as soon as I'm done with LJ, lol.
Anyway.
My RA decided to pick Thursday at 9:30 to have a floor meeting about break policies so I missed the second half of the show when it aired. But I recorded it. And then I didn't have a coherent thought for most of the night other than..."God, Jensen can act." So...yeah.
I wasn't so hip on Anna for a bit. She was an interesting character, but the whole..."I'm an angel" thing kind of freaked me out. I think they could've done it a little better somehow, I don't know. But by the time she and Dean had told each other their deepest darkest secrets, I loved her. And I was so worried that because I liked her, she'd be killed. this way, at least, there's a chance she can come back. And dude, she's the boss of Cas and Uriel? Chick power, heck yes. "Look at you." lol. And Dean's looking at her as she's telling them all this, like..."wow. She's one interesting bitch." God's little power ranger.
Ruby, ruby, ruby. So she sacrificed her skin to get angels and demons in the same room? Adds to my she really does care for Sam theory. N'awww. And Dean rushed over to help her up. Shows that he's actually starting to trust her. There were a couple of little moments between them I really liked. And the little scene between Sam and Ruby when he refused to use his powers...I liked it. I could use more of it. I had to go look up who Mothra was. I fail as a nerd today. lol.
Sam calls Castiel "Cas" too! lol. My captions said "Cass!"
I think Genevieve is wearing a necklace with a "G" on it...
Aaa. "how's the car?" "I got HER, SHE's fine." I love that the car has a personality.
I think I'm the only person on the face of the planet that doesn't love Pamela. I mean, her dialogue's witty enough, but she's just really convenient.
Hee, the new WoW commercial with Ozzy makes me laugh.
So the theme of today's episode is emotions, feeling. They're all worth it. Except where Dean is concerned right now. *hugs him* I think this is the scene that made me really like Anna. The angel thing stopped being ridiculous about the same time it did to Dean. It's relateable. Which I don't think is a word.
"Perfect, like a marble statue." Bells ring in my head. Like a blood-crying marble statue in a church? ...
Pop quiz: Who are the four angels who've seen God?
I started laughing the same time Dean did about an angel and a demon in the backseat. And "Dude. Reality...porn." Best LINE.
OOOH PRETTTY TREEEEE!!!!!! They've been finding really pretty locations this season. Especially when the boys have to have a heart to heart. Although they've been finding those since CSPWDT...
So Dean takes off his necklace before screwing an angel? O...k...
I liked that scene, other than for the obvious reasons. It's a different side of Dean. And get your head outta the gutter, it's just that he's very....tender, almost. Definitely not like Sam and Ruby, lol. And heee, Bad Company song! It's one of my favorites. And it really fits this episode. The only good shot we get of Dean is his back, frowny face. And this scene's kinda graphic for the CW, don't ya think? Right down to the cheesy Titanic hand. LOL.
It amuses me that everyone thinks Ruby's torture thing is like Saw. Isn't Mark Rolston IN like ALL the SAW movies? And also, another thing that the censors let slide, torture? I'm impressed.
Oh, the look on Dean's face when Anna forgives him for leading the angels there. Dean's face is so tortured and sad! *wibble* He'll always choose Sam, even over his own happiness.
My prediction: Cas will fall. He cares about Dean, more than he should. And I mean that from a non-slasher viewpoint. Although....haha.
Well, Alastair's obviously the most powerful demon Castiel has faced. The idea that he couldn't kill him obviously hadn't crossed his mind.
Anna's eyes were yellow right after the grace went into her. Which totally reminded me of Willow distributing the power to all the potentials.

"She must be happy." Noo, no she isn't. And Ruby almost looks like she understands that too.
And then the scene. With the pretty backdrop and the car and the beer...what more do you need? Oh, yes, an emotional Dean. Check. Pretty sure this is the most we've seen Dean cry, AND the most we've ever seen Jensen cry anywhere. I found myself wondering what the hell he could've been thinking about to make himself cry like that.
Poor Dean Winchester. Spends his whole life giving up every bit of happiness because he knows he can save people, then ends up giving in to torture people, to hurt them instead of save them. First step to becoming a demon, maybe? a decade's worth of torturing people.
So, I got a little thrown out of the last scene by the very last shot of Sam and Dean. It reminded me of the movie poster for Brokeback Mountain, the way they're posed.

All I can say that, with a few little exceptions, those writers sure know how to write a compelling script, and put us into hiatus on possibly the saddest twist ever. 55 days!!!! noooo!!!
I need some more sad icons. What happened to all the ones I used to have...I need more icon space!!

I wondered the exact same thing. Jensen was brilliant in this episode, but then again, he always is so...
And that's a nice think you noticed, the similarity between the last scene and BBM. Even the colours are similar!
no subject
I've only seen BBM twice, but yeah, down to the scenery, it was very reminiscent of it.

you're going to rewatch all the episodes. Yes, yes you are.

I wondered the same thing about what Jensen was thinking to pull that scene off because baby those weren't Visine tears those were real.
Alistair for as hateful as he was I keep hoping he's really not gone cause he was an awesome bad guy.
Oh and Cas he would have fell last night if not for the mortal peril everyone was in from Lilith I do believe. I'm speaking from both sides of the slashers realm :)

Exactly.
I almost wanna give Cas a hug too.

*continues to pet Castiel and think about him as a little baby Winchester when he falls*
Cause he is. He's gonna give up his grace to save the world, and the boys are gonna be raising him.
*weak smile before bursting into tears*

Hmm. I know next to nothing about Angel lore, so things like that make me go "Really? WOW!"
*hugs*

Doesn't it seem as if Cas wasn't looking at DEAN jealous of Anna but at Anna jealous of Dean? Like he'd rather be macking on Anna?
I mean, that's what I got seeing as he dropped the loaded "we have a history" line. I don't know, it's just starting to irritate me the amount OMG!all the male characters are totally hot for one another!
Which is totally fine on one hand, like, I have absolutely no problem with a little imagination. But I hate when it starts to actually strain the storyline for me. Like when people are SO defiant that it HAS to be slash it starts to get at me. The day I see Cas actually kiss Dean, or say something along the lines of, "Get your pants off, this is SRS BIZ" I'll definitely think it's canon.
Eh, I don't know. I'm not knocking on anything really just that, in the SPN fandom, it's this massive struggle for any het couple to seem realistic based off of the fandom's views.

But I agree with you. I think Cas is jealous of the human emotions that Dean feels. I'm not sure it has anything to do with Anna, though. I just took the "we have a history" line as something that happened when she was their boss.
I worry that people don't realize that the witers aren't going to do something so stupid as put Cas and Dean together as canon.
I know, het is the underdog in this fandom. :/

I thought everyone knew who Mothra
is. She kicked Godzilla's ass. If you want
to get familiar, rent "Mothra" added bonus
is the Peanut Sisters. Mothra and the two sisters
are connected and it is too awesome to watch.
I liked the Bad Co. track because its the Impala
and there's gonna be rocknroll playing while Dean
gets down. That whole scene to me was so 1950's
couple at the drive in.
As for the Ruby torture scene, it reminded me more
of "Hellraiser" than "Saw" movies. Basically Saw movies
are mini rip-offs of "Hellraiser". Remember Ruby's comment
to Dean about how really accurate that movie was in its
depiction of Hell? "Except for the leather." That was
funny, aaaah I miss the Ruby from S3.
Anna gave me the creeps big time from right when
she was under hypnosis and it looked like
Sam and Dean were pissing in their jeans.
After that her eyeballs looked so psycho.
And the lighting on her really changed. She gives
one the creeps. Yes she does. It's really funny
that you mention the Buffy moment because when
Anna did that whole white light exit, It really reminded
me of something that could be on Buffy. It was a very
Buffy moment.
That tree was awesome and the BBM reference was
not aware to me until I saw your comparison. Good call.

Re: Mothra reference
It's just me and Dean showing our
age okay? Had he said Godzilla you
would have known because Godzilla's
like the Beatles of the monster universe.
So don't even worry. Anyway you knew
it was Bad Co. playing in the Impala
I didn't even know the song at all.
A lot of Godzilla movies suck so its cool.
You might wanna rent the Godzilla movies
from the late 1980's and early 1990's,
if your'e interested. He was revived at this
time and the films are in Japanese and they
look really colorful and beautiful and kinda gory.
Re: Mothra reference
Hi
Thank you
Re: Hi
Basically, Sam's making fun of Dean because Dean watches porn and is sort of comparing it to real life, when porn movies are usually incredibly exaggerated versions of real life.

And man do I wish I had Thanksgiving break! But it's cool, I've actually gotten over it by now. This will be my fourth consecutive year away from the holiday. Although actually, I am gonna celebrate on Thursday with some friends. We're gonna cook and everything. I'm kind of excited. It's gonna be the first time I celebrate the holiday since '04!
Have a good Thanksgiving!
