Do you wanna make the angels cry?
Quick review post since I'm off to do the one thing I have most in common with the Winchesters: Drive through Indiana backroads listening to classic rock in the middle of the night. That's right, oh yeah, I'm goin' home. Only thing left in my career as a college student is finals! In theory. I'm still riding the edge as far as grades go, so it could be either way. But I'm bein' optimistic I'll pass.
Anyway.
3 nagging things:
This whole episode all I could think of was the song from Reefer Madness, "Listen to Jesus, Jimmy." I think someone on the writing team is a KBell fan. hehe. YouTube link for just that song. But everyone should watch the whole musical.
Also, wasn't Eminem's character's name in 8 mile "Jimmy"? I flashed to that during the scene of Jimmy riding the bus back home.
And the deal that "it's in your blood." Being a vessel for angels is in Jimmy's and his daughter's blood? Repeated twice, so it must mean something, right? And I got to thinkin', what would happen to Sam if he drank that blood instead of demon blood? And then I got thinking, and probably because it was "The Gift" we watched last night so it's fresh on my mind, but Spike's whole speech about how its always about blood.
Ray, Cole and I just got back from getting food downstairs. And Cole had to get herself a "REFRESHING" Coke. I just got a text. *giggles* It was a funny line, and I don't know why.
I like Jimmy. I like him a lot. He's very Misha-like, lol. Very UNLIKE Castiel. Castiel's words to Dean at the end was the first time that I'd thought of him as a "dick" like all other angels.
Very sad about the lack of Anna happening. But at least there WAS Anna, I suppose. "You look terrific." Lol, Oh, Dean.
Vampire Sam was...I don't even know how to describe it. Cool, Exciting, Creepy, all at the same time. And Dean seeing him, holy jalepenos. While I think locking him in a room and detox'ing him cold turkey IS a bit extreme, I totally understand Dean there. I guess only next week will see how they really handle it. Kinda don't have anything to say on that subject until next week is done. I'm never going to be a fan of watching someone be held against their will, addiction problem or not.
And the "soon"? HOLY HELL, basically. All leading up to one spectacular cliffhanger, I'm sure. *shakes fist*
I think that's all I have to say for now.
Aw, I was gonna really quickly set up my Dreamwidth account since it's Open Beta now! But apparently my turn to get an invite code hasn't yet come up yet. Oh, well. Maybe tomorrow.
Anyway.

Cause it's always got to be blood."*shrug* Anyway.
Xander: "We're not actually discussing dinner right now."
Spike: "Blood is life, lack-brain. Why do you think we eat it? It's what keeps you going. Makes you warm. Makes you hard. Makes you other than dead. 'Course it's her blood."

I'm not liking this new version of Castiel at all. Maybe Anna can knock some sense into him. I love Castiel but I don't want him to end up being another character I end up hating.

I hope we find out what happened to him in heaven for his attitude to change like so. Otherwise I agree, I don't want to hate him either.

The preview for the next episodes just about killed me dead.
I don't know how I'm supposed to deal with that, or the ginormous cliffhanger we're gonna get.
Part of me doesn't even want to watch those episode until after season 5 has started airing, just so that I don't have to be in pain for too long xD

=) I loved Anna popping up in the backseat of the impala. I was disappointed that was her only scene, but like you said at least she was there.
I have no idea what to feel about Sam right now. I'm still trying to digest the episode. I won't even be writing my review until tomorrow as I am totally supposed to be going to bed right now and not being on the internet, but I couldn't resist.
I have a feeling this spectacular cliffhanger might kill me for the summer hiatus. The one for last season did.

Yeah. :| I wonder if she's supposed to be in anymore episodes. I know she was originally, but I think they might've changed it.
Strangely, I still believe in Sam. I don't know why. But I agree, hiatus will be killer. :|

You didn't bash Sam!
You fucking rock. ♥
I agree with what you said about think Cas was a dick at the end there, haha.
Man next week looks AWESOME.

Well, the angels are supposed to be "dicks." I guess now Cas is just like everyone else.
I know, I can't wait!

I loved the episode muches. Nothing more to say. I don't wanna get my hopes up about the ways this could go that I won't hate. I've been trusting them, and I'm seeing glimmers of hope. It's getting too close to D-day now. *cracks knuckles*

I'm trying not to get my hopes up. Just trying to take it as it comes, watch and be o.O about it.

I really liked the Anna bit too, it was a pleasant surprise because I had no idea ahe was in this episode!
I loved Jimmy, and I loved how Misha played him, and how he went back to being Castiel so easily. He's a man of many talents! But I'm with you, the end bit between him and Dean BROKE MY HEART. Dean looked so confused! I'm hoping it was just a front though, incase anyone higher up was listening.
The promo kills me, I can't stop freaking out about it!!!

I'd heard that she was supposed to be in it, but then I heard that her part was significantly cut. But I'm glad we still got that scene.
The stark difference between Jimmy and Castiel was awesome.
I know, is it Thursday yet?

Really? Where did you hear that?

I must say this week's episode is making up for the awful episodes we have been forced to watch due to the writers trying to stretch out the story for another season.
I enjoyed Jimmy's character. I feel like it has been a long time over due to get to know this character. I am excited for the next few weeks and to see the cliff hanger season finale. You know it is going to happen.

I agree, this season's certainly had ups and downs.
The previews for next week are EPIC, right?! I can't wait!
