THIS EPISODE MAKES ME SO HAPPY. DEAN IS SO HAPPY THERE IS LIKE...NO ANGST WHATSOEVER IN THIS EPISODE OH GOD THIS EPISODE MAKES ME FEEEEEEL THINGS AGAIN DEAN IS SMILING SAM IS LAUGHING AT HIM BOYYYYYYYS &hearts &hearts &hearts This is the first episode all season I've downloaded and watched multiple times. It doesn't restore my faith completely but it makes me remember why I stick with this show, for sure.

"We'll Star Trek IV this bitch." ALSDKJFSHDFKJHSDFJKASLKDJFHFLSKDJ You don't understand how much I love that movie. DEAN IS SUCH A TREKKIE And then Jim, d'aww, I'd forgotten Cecily was on DS9 and I was flailing to hard to catch the reference the first time. I love it when the dialogue also goes with the actor saying it.

"Try the other side." I LOVE THAT DEAN KNOWS WHICH SIDE OF A HORSE TO MOUNT AND HOW HE'S ALL "good boy" PETTING THE HORSE ALSKDFJ SAM AND DEAN ON HORSES IS MY FAVORITE THING EVER. WHY COULDN'T DEAN HAVE A HORSE TOO? Poor Jensen didn't get to ride a pony for this episode.

Sam makes some absolutely HILARIOUS faces at Dean it's so precious.

"You have to let me touch it." LOLOLOLOLOLOL. Castiel and this business with souls and the whole fact that he's leading an entire army but that army's not so sure they're behind him 100% anymore is just SO AWESOME. Castiel is interesting again!

The Campbell family library is kind of intense. I bet this is the only time we'll see it, despite it's obvious treasure trove of useful information. Also I get people commenting on how clean their clothes are, it's the dusty wild west yada yada, but what about the fact that they're wearing jeans?

In conclusion, there's really only one thing to say about this episode: ja;lksdjf;hsjdklhfahsf GODDAMNNNN JENSEN ACKLES IS ATTRACTIVE.

Related, I finally started watching the Supernatural anime. I've watched the first 8 episodes dubbed because I really wanted to listen to Jared Padalecki, but I think I'll end up downloading the rest with subtitles because I just cannot handle the bad voice acting that is Dean. Plus his character lacks the depth, I think, that Jensen brings to Dean so he comes off as rather douchey and sleazy half the time, as opposed to those things just being a defense mechanism or whatever. I tell ya, had I watched this first, Sam Winchester would've been my favorite character. He's pretty awesome in the anime. And I do love the way they've taken the stories and fit them for their format, Bloody Mary especially because we get Sam/Jess backstory &hearts ___ &hearts I also enjoyed how they clarified that Azazel was once and angel, I'm excited to see what they do with he and Meg now. Plus demons and monsters and things are wicked creepy and it's awesome (asdlkfj the shapeshifter changing was fucking gross!) Things I don't like include Dean's voice/characterization, Bobby and Missouri's general look/characterization, the fact that the impala's license plate says KYZ instead of KAZ.

I've been posting recs for [livejournal.com profile] spnroundtable this month, if anyone cares. I've done threesome recs and hell-related recs so far. I'm behind on posting this week and I don't know what to post b/c I don't read much fic in this fandom anymore (and when I do I'm kind of picky about it anymore.) so I've mostly been reccing old things, which is lame. So if you have recs, that's cool.

My posting date for [livejournal.com profile] spn_cinema is May 17! al/djf I'm nervous about this because I really like what I wrote but it is SOOOOO goddamn depressing I'm sure no one will want to read it. (speaking of which, I still need someone to look it over for me? please? gen, second pov, character death? it's a trifecta of awesome, lolol)

And now I shall go to work, where, since it is Easter break, there are a total of maybe 30 people in the building and so I have to do...nothing. Last night I read candle_beck's On the Dodge (cuz you know, no such thing as too much cowboys) and almost cried myself into oblivion. I think tonight I might just stick to the book I'm trying to finish and the occasional internet check.
