Sep. 9th, 2009 03:25 pmSo, needless to say, Rock Band:Beatles is pretty amazing. It's bright and shiny, and they went pretty hardcore with the continuity. And the extras. The entire Christmas Album is available to listen to. You get achievements just for calibrating your instruments! I couldn't stop grinning like a fool for at least the first hour we were playing it. I was singing of course. And with the cool harmonies thing, I could jump to the parts I was used to singing with my mom. :) It's got a whole new look, and it's AMAZING. Two downfalls: My favorite songs, Hey Jude, Let it Be, and Yesterday, are not exactly Rock Band material, so they're not on it. So I can't sing them. :| Plus I think they might be considered just McCartney songs, not Beatles songs, even though they did sing them. And the big downfall: Overdrive. Or "Beatlemania" as it's called in the game, haha. Or "Star Power" as I still call it, lol. But when you activate it, it makes it incredibly hard to see the notes because the paths are so busy and trippy. But other than that.
We played some Guitar Hero 5, too, but I was just thinking "Can we get back to Rock Band?" the whole time, lol. I switched to guitar for that. There was some fun stuff, like "Under Pressure" but I'm really kind of over Guitar Hero. I know the point of it is the varied track list, but anymore I don't know half the songs on it, and usually, they kind of suck anymore. So. But the look of it is nice, and it is very user friendly, you can jump in and out when you want and stuff like that.
And then we went back to Rock Band:Beatles, and I switched over to drums, and Brett and Zack let me make the entire playlist. Revolution, Come Together, I Am the Walrus, and like 8 other songs. And then it was like 5 am, so we decided to stop. And then I rocked the hell out of Helter Skelter on hard. And now I woke up with it stuck in my head, HA.
Uhm. Anyway.
Today's episode of General Hospital is making me want to not ride carnival rides again.
OH! I almost forgot about this!

For one week, recommend/share:
Day one: a song
Day two: a picture
Day three: a book/ebook/fanfic
Day four: a site
Day five: a youtube clip
Day six : a quote
Day seven : whatever tickles your fancy
I am terrible at recommending books, because I honestly don't have a favorite, haha. I just read everything. But I can recommend fanfic. :D

sevenfists. Yes, it's from 2007. I'm still catching up on the amazing stuff in this fandom, okay. But seriously, reading this story, the description and dialogue is so amazing, I was SO INVESTED in the ending. The summary reads "Our boys buy curtains" (so hey, Curtain!fic!!) but the story is SO MUCH MORE than that. I wish I could be more articulate about it. But GO READ IT. Even if you read it back in the day. READ IT AGAIN. Definitely my favorite of...uhm. This week.
