Also! Happy Guy Fawkes Day, people of Britain. I hope you have fun burning your effigies and shooting off fireworks and whatever else actually happens on Bonfire Night idk idk i'm a clueless american. Alas, in the spirit of giving and because I can, I thought I'd offer up the ten issues that make up V for Vendetta if anyone wanted to read them. So, in one handy mediafire folder: V for Vendetta by Alan Moore.

Can we please talk about the genius that is Inception?

I just...I love the layers so much. And it was much easier to follow on second viewing. The first time I was struggling to keep up, but once it ended, I realized I understood the whole thing. The second time, I got to grasp each piece of the puzzle as it happened, and by the time the end came, I was like squealing in delight as all the little details came together.

Mind telling your subconscious to take it easy? )
~

I also saw Twilight Saga: Eclipse (the same day I saw Inception the first time.) No, I did not force Brett to go see it, I took Christina and we did a girls night out sort of thing, except you know, pregnant chick and fat chick night out, not so exciting. Eclipse was...it wasn't terrible. I did not have to stifle my laughter at the ridiculousness of Edward's lines constantly, although I did a few times. I still maintain that the only redeeming quality of those films is Taylor Lautner's chest, which MY GOD. He wears a shirt in ONE SCENE in that movie. That's it. It was glorious.

~

I posted fic. It's Dean/Sam, Dean/Alastair. Three of my four fills for blindfold_spn. (The fourth one was one of the watersports ones, you can probably figure out which. Not gonna claim that sucker officially, lol.) Probably wasn't the smartest idea to post it on the same day as the comic con panel if I wanted it go get read. But eh, wanted it posted. SO THERE.

Title: Let me steal this moment from you now
Summary: And in Sam’s dreams, Dean is always running from him. The worst part is, that's better than the reality.
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: girl!Dean, Pre-season 4 (meaning Dean is currently in hell).
Notes: 1,025 words. Idea taken from a line Amanda Greystone said in Caprica: "chasing my dead brother down hallways." Written for [livejournal.com profile] spnland’s genderswap challenge (where it won first place, holy crap, I’m still surprised!) I’ve never written genderswap, nor particularly liked reading it, but eh, roll with whatchu got, right? Dean will always be “Dean” to me, whether male or female. Mini-playlist included at the end. :)

Tell me, we both matter, don't we? )

Wreck of the Day - Anna Nalick

I'm actually pretty good about balancing out my listening patterns. This song's count was only 38, surprisingly. I have such a variety of music in my iTunes that my most listened really isn't a good example of what I do listen to. Most of my top 25 most played are songs that have been in my iTunes the longest, but aren't necessarily my favorites anymore, they've just had the opportunity to be listened to a lot. This song's a pretty good example of that, since I'm neither lonely nor heartbroken currently.
